Lesley started dancing at the age of 3, and by the age of 12 was annually winning many awards at the All England Dance Competitions, where she won the aggregate medal for the 3 disciplines in Classical Ballet, National and Character and Gold in Modern Dance. advanced and teaching exams with both the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and the Royal Academy of Dance, which were all passed with honours. On graduating, she started and has continued to teach as a freelance dance teacher at various performing arts colleges. Alongside training students of all ages, Lesley has mentored and trained students who have gone on to work professionally as well as take up places within notorious schools such as The Royal Ballet School, Elmhurst, Arts Educational to name but a few, and for those who wish to go into teaching, many of whom have now, upon receiving their qualifications, gone on to teach freelance or open successful dance schools around the country. She opened The Grosvenor School in South Woodham Ferrers 34 years ago. The success of her own school has grown from strength to strength and 4 years ago saw the expansion from not only a school of excellence for dance but now as a performing arts school incorporating the foundations of the school along with Drama, Singing and Musical Theatre.
Lesley teaches students of all ages including adults.
